Redmond Wahine Rugby Club
Welcome to another season of Wahine Rugby! Whether you are returning to the pitch with last years boots still covered in mud or you are new to the sport and breaking a brand new pair we are glad to have you out. Rugby is a sport that is unfamiliar to many and for the new players there will be a lot to learn.
On that note we, your coaches, want to stress something that we feel is very important. Practice, Practice, Practice! We have put a lot of time and effort into planning each and every practice with you the players in mind and in return all we ask is that you show up to practice. The skills you learn will be introduced in a progressive manner drawing on skills taught at previous practices so attendance is crucial. If you cannot make it to a practice let us know so that we can plan for that. Our job as coaches is to prepare each of you so that when you step onto the pitch you have a confidence knowing that you are armed with all the basic skills to play this sport and play it to the best of your ability. We cannot accomplish this goal without a commitment from you, to us – but more importantly to your team. We are YOUR coaches, this is YOUR season, it is YOUR team.
Practice will be every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting February 1st, 2005. Practice will run from 4:00 - 5:30 PM at Marymoor Park, next to the climbing rock.
